Catwalk to Stage: Monica In Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture Spring 2010

























Monica in performance at the 2010 BET Awards, thankfully goes outside the R&B/Urban box in haute couture. Some people aren't ready I'm sure.

    I couldn't find it online, but I vaguely remember an article where it was mentioned that Michelle Williams' video for, 'We Break the Dawn', wasn't considered urban enough and the R&B/Pop song was not played on BET. Michelle had made a comment that despite the fact this could be considered a setback, she would continue to progress and evolve with her music, fashion, and overall style.
    I'm glad other artists are taking chances and hopefully sticking it to BET to continue to evolve with the rest of us. I'll try to continue to search for reference for the mentioned article.
