I was browsing through some of the fashion coverage from last night's Academy Awards and really found myself agreeing with the professional views of VOGUE's Andre Leon Talley. He mentioned many of my favorites which included Hailee Steinfeld and Halle Berry in Marchesa and Mila Kunis in Elie Saab.

Classic Style. Andre Leon Talley

U.S. VOGUE Fashion Editor at large Andre Leon Talley is a true fashion veteran, having started in the business in the 70's. He's been with VOGUE since 1983. I haven't seen him as judge on America's Next Top Model, but I'm sure he's a terrific addition to the show. Often on television they have people talking fashion who don't seem to have any style themselves, let alone any knowledge of the history of design.

October VOGUE. 70's meets the 30's Glam

Though I get the majority of content online, there is still something that can't be replaced by browsing the pages of a favorite magazine, this probably goes back to my childhood when my Mom bought fashion magazines.
I picked up October's domestic VOGUE and instantly fell in love with this layout titled 'Society Slouch' featuring Chanel Iman, Jourdann Dunn and Caroline Trentini. Fashion from the 70's and 30's are among my favorites in style.
Though the looks pictured feature a range of designers from Calvin Klein Collection, Celine, Donna Karan, Maison Martin Margiela to name a few, I think these looks can be achieved by also blending vintage pieces with contemporary.

Naomi Campbell Walks It Out with Gisele Bundchen At Fashion's Night Out Show

Hosted by VOGUE, Mayor Bloomberg and the CFDA, Lincoln Center looked spectacular at last night's "Fashion's Night Out" Fashion Show. In what was said to be the biggest in the history of New York City, the event kicked off a week of shopping, and fashion festivities.
It's always a delight to see Ms. Naomi walk it out, no one does it better.

Halle Berry Covers VOGUE

The always fabulous Oscar winning actress Halle Berry is featured as cover girl on the all important September Fall Fashion issue of American VOGUE. There have been so few black women to have this coveted spot. Naomi Campbell is the only black model to be featured on the cover in the prestigious fall fashion issue. This is major, not to mention overdue. I love it!
