Jeffrey Williams Has The Ultimate Collection.

Congratulations to the uniquely voiced Jeffrey Williams who triumphed over Calvin Tran and Dominique Pearl David to win Bravo's "The Fashion Show - The Ultimate Collection". I really liked something about each designer's finale presentations.  The rude, brash and unlikeable Calvin's black asymmetrical pared down runway show was his best. I wanted the first dress he sent out.
Jeffrey's collection had many pieces I'd wear as well, especially his winning beautifully draped red goddess gown. It was waterworks for me along with him as he spoke lovingly of his mother who'd passed away from cancer and of his desire to dedicate the collection to her.
Each designer succeeded in presenting cohesive fashion forward collections, though I felt Williams' was indeed the ultimate.

"Project Runway" should pay attention because it seems "The Fashion Show" has raised the bar.

The Fashion Show.

I am thoroughly enjoying the new and improved "The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection" with Iman and Issac Mizrahi. Creating 'fashion houses' was a genius move along with of course adding the grand duchess Iman to the mix. Though designers have their vision, team work and collaboration are key. The environment seems more akin to what the experience would be. One question though; why is Calvin still there? This guy is mean to the point of not even being enjoyable or amusing at this point. Perhaps he remains because drama usually makes good TV.

Notes. Project Runway Finale Thoughts

I was underwhelmed overall with the season finale of Project Runway. I don't know if it's just me but I expected more of each designer.
Although I could see the trend appeal of Gretchen's designs and despite my disdain for her personality, she did create some 'cute' pieces and jewelry. But to emerge as the overall winner of Project Runway - I didn't see it. Mondo's collection was my favorite. Good luck to them all.

Looking forward to Bravo's "The Fashion Show" with Iman and Isaac Mizrahi.
