The very least you can do in your life is figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance, but live right in it, under its roof. - Animal Dreams, Barbara Kingsolver

In My Beauty Bag: Samoan Sand

I can't get enough of this color. If you like a more neutral color for your nails or toes, this one is nearly perfect.

I Like His Style: Pharrell Williams

-Artist, Producer, Musician, Designer. Pharrell Williams.

Halston Heritage Collection

Legendary designer Halston was always known for his understated glamour. The revitalized Halston 'Heritage Collection' keeps the brand alive for a new generation as well as longtime Halston fans, like myself.

Patricia Field: Creating Personal Style

Designer Patricia Field, a longtime favorite of mine, provides fun tips on creating your own style. Early in my solo career, everytime I'd go to New York I couldn't wait to go shopping her her East Village Store, that fact still remains. I always find something.

“I can't control my destiny, I trust my soul, my only goal is just to be. There's only now, there's only here. Give in to love or live in fear. No other path, no other way. No day but today." - Rent, Jonathan Larson

Nature's Beauty: Olive Oil

Olive oil, a great antioxidant, provides benefits by lowering your risks for heart disease and colon cancer as well as helping to maintain low cholesterol levels. Always buy "Extra Virgin" when shopping for it.

In addition to the health benefits, it's great for hair and skin.

Loving yourself.

Spring Summer Must Have: The Neutral Shoe

A neutral or "nude" shoe is a great addition to your collection and a hot look for spring/summer. These are three of my picks, The YSL Tribute Pump, Miu Miu and studded Louboutins.

Spring Summer Nail Trend 2010

The Chanel Jade Collection is one of the most popular right now. If you're looking for nice pastels or combo this is quite nice.

Classic Style: Young Gentlemen

When boys dressed like young gentleman, not just for church - and acted as such.

"Knowing you're a little like bamboo, life and circumstance may make you bend - but knowing you're strong enough to overcome - you won't break." -Jody Watley

In My Beauty Bag: Kett

Currently, my favorite high performance make-up line is Kett. This is make-up for the digital age. Kett is not tested on animals, and also boasts plush vegan brushes.

Trend Watch: Harem Pants

The drop crotch or "harem" pant makes a return every few years. Granted the look isn't for everyone and isn't easy to wear. Affordable and high waisted at American Apparel or upscale designers like Chloe and Gaultier give the look a modern edge. I think the look works best with a nice heel or bootie. Recently spotted wearing the look are Nicole Ritchie, Keri Hilson, and actress Juliette Binoche who wore the Givenchy drop crotch jumpsuit in Cannes.

Art and Fashion

One of my aspirations growing up was to be a fashion illustrator or designer...I believe in dreams, aspirations and goals. You're never too old to be what you might have been or too young to visualize what you want to be.

Naomi Campbell

She's always been one of my favorite models whether in print, or working the catwalk. There's only one Naomi. I've had the pleasure to meet her on a few occasions and she she was incredibly nice each time. Happy 40th Birthday Naomi, I hope you begin to find the inner peace you desire.
