Style For Less.

Alexander McQueen Studded Suede Bootie - $1,795.00

Garment District Downtown L.A. - $23.00

I know there's a huge difference in quality and craftsmanship - no comparison really. As a rule I think it's better to splurge on a great pair of shoes that will last a long time but at a whopping price tag of almost $2,000.00, I would say in that case it's better to save your money and get the look for less for more trendy styles such as this.

Dolce & Gabana. The Eccentric 5

Adorable is a word best used when describing children, but it's the word I kept thinking of when watching this - not to mention handsome.

Work It Wednesday. Work and Werk Defined

The term 'Work' is also referenced and known as 'Werk'' by some and defined as follows in the urbandictionary:

"To do something to an exceedingly excellent capacity. Most notably used in reference to dancing or modeling that requires a large amount of fiery attitude, vitality and vigor."

Examples:

"B****, you better werk!"

"Boy, go on with ya bad self. Werk it out!"

"I'm about to go in this class and put in werk on this routine."

Halle Berry is always flawless.

Jennifer Lopez is consistent red carpet perfection.

I wanted to share some of my favorite examples of the very chic nude mouth and smokey eye (my favorite combination at the moment) from last night's Golden Globes. Classic red lips used to be my thing, but I have not worn really red lips in years primarily because doing so always makes me feel like my former self. If I do a red, I go for deeper tones now.  As you get older it's imperative to change your make-up style. Things you did in your 20's might not work as well and can make you look dated. I'm sure we've all seen makeover shows where years are shaved off by changing hairstyle & color, make-up and wardrobe. Update, revamp and rework.

Notes. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

"Faith is the first step even when you don't see the whole stair case." - Martin Luther King Jr.

Celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today and always mindful of the sacrifices made in the march toward freedom, civil rights, equality, liberty, justice and peace. I am forever grateful.
We have come a long way - with a long way to go.
