Classic Style. H by Halston Fall 2011

I've been watching "Project Runway" as has been the case since Season 1. Last night's challenge was a modern twist on 70's style. I really liked Anya who is emerging as my favorite this season; I love her distinct sense of personal style.  The jumpsuit she created for last night's challenge was a winner and will be sold on Paperlime. Anya really handled the pressure and dilemma of losing her money on the first trip to MOOD.
Viktor is also emerging as a strong contender for final 3. Josh must learn to take criticism better perhaps considering broadening his visual and design horizons regardless of the decade he was born. Bert wasn't as grating and dour.

The current glamorous ad campaign for H by Halston made me think of the challenge.

Jeffrey Williams Has The Ultimate Collection.

Congratulations to the uniquely voiced Jeffrey Williams who triumphed over Calvin Tran and Dominique Pearl David to win Bravo's "The Fashion Show - The Ultimate Collection". I really liked something about each designer's finale presentations.  The rude, brash and unlikeable Calvin's black asymmetrical pared down runway show was his best. I wanted the first dress he sent out.
Jeffrey's collection had many pieces I'd wear as well, especially his winning beautifully draped red goddess gown. It was waterworks for me along with him as he spoke lovingly of his mother who'd passed away from cancer and of his desire to dedicate the collection to her.
Each designer succeeded in presenting cohesive fashion forward collections, though I felt Williams' was indeed the ultimate.

"Project Runway" should pay attention because it seems "The Fashion Show" has raised the bar.
